Thanks for expressing an interest in docking your boat at The Washington Marina for the 2004 boating season. This letter is to inform you about the renovation progress and how to go about reserving a space for your boat.

Phase 1 of the marina renovation was completed in August of 2002 and gave us all new, floating dock in lengths of 20ft, 24ft & 28ft. Phase 2 began in early 2003 with completion by early spring 2004. Once completed, we will be able to accept boats up to 42 ft in length. This will give us over 150 new slips that will be available for yearly license rental.

Slip fees are based on the size of the slip or boat length, whichever is greater. The rate for the 42' slips and smaller for 2004 will be $9.00 per foot per month, excluding electric, which is billed separately on a quarterly basis. You will find this rate to be among the lowest in the DC Channel area. For this fee you will receive a beautiful place to dock your boat, parking as available and use of the water facilities. Shore power, Cable TV/phone outlets will be available for an additional fee. We have space for powerboats and sailboats with masts less than 37ft in height.

Slip licenses will run from April 1st to March 30th. Licenses that are paid for, IN FULL by March 1st will be reduced by 10%. Otherwise yearly contract fees will be due in two installments - 50% of the balance due on or before on or before March 1st and 50% due August 1st. The Washington Marina Company will not be accepting live-aboard or wooden boats.

If you are interested in keeping your boat at The Washington Marina Co., please fill out the attached form and return to us along with your reservation deposit as soon as possible. Slips will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to those who had slips in 2003. We look forward to having you with us during the upcoming boating season. NOTE: Liability and property damage insurance, listing The Washington Marina as an additional insured, will be required prior to occupying the slip.

Reservation deposits are required to hold a slip space. Slip holders will be required to complete a License Agreement and submit proof of insurance, with limits as described in the License Agreement, along with payment prior to occupying slip.
